Distribution |
Great Barrier Reef, Queensland, from Lizard Island to Yule Point. Elsewhere the species occurs in the east-Indo-west-central Pacific (Andaman Sea to Palau). Inhabits muddy and gravelly areas in estuaries and among mangroves. |
Etymology |
The species is named in honour of Pieter Bleeker, ichthyologist of the Dutch East India Company. |
