Northern and northeastern Australia, including the northern coast facing the Arafura Sea, and the northeastern coast ranging from the Torres Strait to Moreton Bay, Queensland. |
Colour |
Head and body grey to brown, mottled with greenish grey, or broadly orangish; blotch and band markings generally dark brown to black. In preserved specimens, head and body becoming uniformly creamy-white, dark markings retained. |
Etymology |
The species is named for Mr. Alastair Graham (CSIRO), for his great contributions to the Australian marine fish specimen collection and generous assistance in finding this new species. |
