Summary:
A pale goby with two dark stripes along the body that may fade before the tail, a black spot on the tail base, and indistinct bars across the back and upper sides.

Distribution |
Dampier Archipelago, Western Australia, around the tropical north to Masthead Island, Queensland. Elsewhere the species occurs in the east-Indo-west Pacific. Inhabits silty, sandy and rubble areas in protected bays and harbours. Pairs often hover just above the bottom. |
