Distribution

Endemic to south Western Australia, from the Recherche Archipelago to Cockburn Sound. Inhabits shallow rocky reefs.

Etymology

The specific name refers to the Leeuwin Current that influences the temperate coastal areas of Western Australia where this species occurs.
