Summary:
A very small transparent goby with a pinkish-purple iris and yellow pigment over the internal organs. Purple-eye Gobies are seen perching on or hovering in groups above certain Acropora corals.

Distribution

Found on offshore reefs in northern Australia. Elsewhere, widespread in the Indo-Pacific, from the Red Sea to the Cook Islands, the Ryukyu Islands in southern Japan, northern Australia and Micronesia.
