Summary:
Body white with fine brownish diagonal stripes on sides, dorsal, caudal and anal fins yellow with brown margins, pelvic fins yellow, a large black oval patch surrounding the eye, and a black spot on the forehead.

Distribution

Known in Australia from Ningaloo Reef, Western Australia, to Darwin, Northern Territory; also at the Australian territories of Christmas and Cocos (Keeling) islands in the Indian Ocean. Found elsewhere in the tropical Western Pacific.
