Known only from Cape Howe, New South Wales, to eastern Bass Strait, Victoria, and north-eastern Tasmania. Little is known of the preferred habitat of this species. |

Little is known of the life history of this species. |
Fisheries |
Taken as incidental by-catch in benthic sleds or demersal trawls, in about 100–200 m. Populations of this species may have been impacted by commercial fishing in southeastern Australia. |
