Great Barrier Reef and Coral Sea, Queensland. Elsewhere the species is widespread in the Indo-West Pacific: Red Sea, East and South Africa, Seychelles, Comoro Islands, Mascarenes and Fiji east to the Hawaiian Islands and Tuamotu Archipelago, north to Japan and south to New Caledonia and Tonga. |
