Ashmore Reef, Timor Sea, Rosemary Island, Western Australia, to New Year Island, Northern Territory, and Middleton Reef to Elizabeth Reef, Tasman Sea. Elsewhere the species occurs in the tropical, Indo-west-central Pacific. |
