A yellowish to reddish clingfish with regular blue bands across the back and a bluish-grey tail.
Western Cleaner Clingfish often set up cleaning stations on sponges and tunicates and remove parasites from range of larger fishes.

Endemci to southern Australia from Port Phillip, Victoria, to Lancelin, Western Australia. Inhabits deeper rocky reefs and often sets up cleaning stations on sponges and ascidians.

Similar Species

The Eastern Cleaner Clingfish, Cochleoceps orientalis, lacks the bluish tail and has irregular bluish bands and wavy lines on the back.
