Summary:
Little is known of this species which has been recorded from coral reefs in Queensland, and from Norfolk Island in the Tasman Sea.

Distribution

Recorded in Australia from Townshend Island to Heron Island, Queensland, and at Norfolk island, Tasman Sea. Found elsewhere in the Indo-West Pacific: Indonesia, Philippines, Taiwan and the Ryukyu Islands, Japan. Material from the south-west Pacific may represent an undescribed species (Hoese 2013 AFD).
