Summary:
A whitish damselfish with five relatively broad dark bars on the sides, and a yellowish hue often on the upper head and sides.

Distribution |
Rottnest Island, northwards including offshore reefs of Western Australia, and Ashmore Reef, Timor Sea, to Mallacoota, Victoria, including reefs in the Coral Sea; also the Lord Howe Province and Norfolk Island in the Tasman Sea, and Christmas Island and Cocos (Keeling) Islands in the eastern Indian Ocean. Elsewhere the species occurs in the tropical, Indo-west-central Pacific. Inhabits inshore and offshore reefs. |
