West of Cape Freycinet, Wos (Keeling) Islands and Christmas Island regions in the eastern Indian Ocean. Elsewhere the species occurs in the Atlantic, and Indian to northeast Pacific oceans. |
Etymology |
The species is named for Frederick H. Berry, formerly of the U.S. National Marine Fisheries Service, who first collected the species, brought it to the attention of the senior author. |
