Distribution

Northern Great Barrier Reef, Queensland. Elsewhere the species occurs in the tropical Indo-west Pacific.

Similar Species

The species has previously been misidentified as Vanderhorstia mertensi, which occurs in the Red Sea and Western Indian Ocean.
