A distinct jawfish with pale reticulate network enclosing irregular tan blotches, each with one to several small, dark-brown spots, a dark spot on the pectoral-fin base, and white pelvic and anal fins.

Endemic to north Western Australia, from Exmouth Gulf to Admiralty Gulf. Inhabits burrows on rubble or soft bottom areas.
