A pinkish-brown hulafish with a large black blotch on the tail base, and a bright blue eye.

Endemic to southern Australia from Cape Conran, VIC, to Kangaroo Island, SA, and around Tasmania. Hulafish form large schools on coastal reefs, often near caves and ledges.
