Summary:
A sandperch with 3 series of large pale reticulated spots or blotches along the sides, a dark greyish-brown reticulated pattern between the spots, and a pale spot with a black ring above the gill opening.

Distribution |
Recorded from the Australian territory of Christmas Island in the Indian Ocean. The species occurs elsewhere in the Indo-West Pacific from the Bay of Bengal to Japan and Indonesia. Either solitary or in small groups on deep reef slopes. |
