Mary River and its tributaries, Queensland. Hemiclonal lineages involving this species and Hypseleotris bucephala are present in the Mary, Maroochy, and Auburn (Burnett) rivers. |
Etymology |
The specific name moolooboolaensis is derived from the Aboriginal name for the Mary River, Moolooboola (= a misspelling of the name Moocooboola). |
