Distribution |
NW of Vernon Island and the Cobourg Peninsula, Northern Territory. Elsewhere the species occurs in the east-Indo-west-central Pacific. Inhabits coral-rich areas of sheltered coastal reefs, closely associated with branching Acropora corals. |
Etymology |
The species is named for the type locality, Ternate Island. |
