Distribution

Endemic to the Kimberley region of north Western Australia: Garimbu Creek, a major tributary of the Roe River, that drains northward off the Kimberley Plateau.

Etymology

The specific name is the Ngarinyin language word for the Roe River catchment in the Kimberley where the species occurs.
