Distribution

Endemic to northern Australia, from North-east of the Bonaparte Archipelago, Western Australia, to Darwin Harbour, Northern Territory. 

Features

Dorsal fin VII-I,9; Anal fin 11,8; Pectoral fin 15; Lateral-line scales 24; Predorsal scales 4; Gill rakers 7-9 + 15-16, including 1-2 rudiments at beginning of upper and lower limbs.
Body depth 2.5-2.8 in SL; fine serrae present on margin of preopercle, preopercular ridge, and circumorbitals.
