Distribution

Lord Howe Island region in the Tasman Sea. Elsewhere the species occurs in the Southeastern Atlantic and western Indian oceans.

Features

Dorsal fin XII-XIII, 12-13; Anal fin IV-VI, 7-9; Caudal rays (prioncipal) 17; Procurrent caudal rays 5 + 4; Gill rakers 5-7 + 15-17; Lateral line pores 43-47; Vertebrae 12-13 + 12.

Scale rows above lateral line 7; scale rows below lateral line 27-31; 11-12 scales between pelvic spine bases; scales along flattened ventral midline from pelvic spine bases to throat.

To 35 cm TL
