A translucent pale yellowish cardinalfish with yellow fins and greenish-blue eyes.

Distribution

Known from scattered localities around Australia: Broome, Western Australia, Ashmore and Cartier Islands, Timor Sea, Darwin, Northern Territory, and the Whitsunday Islands, Queensland. The species may also occur in Indonesia and Papua New Guinea.

Features

Soft dorsal-fin rays 9-10, Soft anal-fin rays 9-10; Pectoral fin 12-14, lower two and upper two rays unbranched.
