Distribution |
Offshore reefs of north Western Australia, and the Great Barrier Reef, Queensland; also Christmas Island in the Eastern Indian Ocean. Elsewhere the species occurs in the tropical, east-Indo-west Pacific - Andaman Sea east to the Philippines and Samoa, north to southern Japan, south to New Caledonia. Inhabits outer reef slopes and exposed shallow reef crests subject to moderate surge. |
