Distribution |
Cocos (Keeling) Islands and Christmas Island (eastern Indian Ocean). Elsewhere, the species is widespread in the Indo-west Pacific from East Africa and Madagascar to Samoa. Inhabits exposed reef flats, rocky and coral surge channels on outer reefs. |
