Genus Scolopsis


Summary:
A genus of monocle breams with about 20 species characterised by having : a distinct posteriorly-directed suborbital spine, a naked suborbital area, the posterior margin of the preopercle coarsely denticulate or serrate, and jaws without canine teeth.
